Twitter’s Niche took over #VidConEU in Amsterdam! Here’s what happened…

This weekend saw hundreds of creators descend on Amsterdam, as #VidConEU hit the town!

The three day event saw industry professionals, creators and fans meet to celebrate all that is great about sharing video content.

From YouTubers, Musical.ly performers to Twitter favourites and Snapchat stars – there was something for everyone, with panel talks from experts and an opportunity to get hands on with those who create trending content.

Creative Nerds were lucky enough to be a part of the weekend with Niche and Twitter UK. Niche invited some of their creator community to rep Niche and show #VidConEU what’s it’s all about!

Throughout the weekend Niche creators met with fans, spoke on panels as well as having a lot of fun celebrating at the evening parties!

Jo Burford, Community Manager for Niche, planned the Niche activity and told us: “Twitter have a long-standing partnership with the established sister event in LA so I was intrigued to see what the first year in Europe would offer creators from our market. There’s no better way to gather insight than to get it straight from the community.

We invited along YouTubers Niki and Sammy, Doug Armstrong, Calum McSwiggan, Roly, Esther, Becky and Holly Sheeran to give us a #CreatorFirst opinion on the event. The best part is seeing first-hand how loved the creators are by their fans; a few fans were even at the airport to greet the creators after following their conversations on Twitter”

The weekend was the first European VidCon, with LA already established as a huge event. Whilst this weekend was not on the same scale as its American equivalent there’s certainly potential for it to become an unmissable event in the future!

Featured creators included John Green, Tyler Oakley, Charlie McDonnell, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Jack Maynard and Dodie.
