Creative Nerds came together with YouTube Space London, creators Em Ford, Niki and Sammy, plus PR Charnley Communications to produce a live fundraising show for the community of Grenfell.

Turning around the event in three days, from initial inception to going live, we utilised our production arm plus wealth of contacts, all of which wanted to support the good cause.

The global partnership saw YouTubers from across the US & UK come together to fundraise for the community. The special live event streamed on Wednesday (21st June) at 6pm with Em Ford, Niki and Sammy kicking off the show.

Over the course of the evening, viewers were treated to a variety of musical performances, sketches and collaborations from all corners of the YouTube community with YouTube stars such as Oli White, Fleur De Force, The Lean Machines, Rose & Rosie, Carly Rowena, Luke Cutforth, Zoe London, Meg Says, Casey Barker, Doug Armstrong, Mark Ferris plus many more taking part.

The donate page is still live, and money can be sent via the official JustGiving page, with all money raised going directly to those affected by the fire.

Em Ford, My Pale Skin, who headed up the fundraiser said: “As a community we’ve been deeply moved by what’s happened and we want to use our platforms to show our support in continuing to ensure those affected by this tragedy are fully supported.

All the money raised will go directly to Kensington & Chelsea Foundation. From one community, to another.”

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Alfie Green, Director of Creative Nerds said: “In just three days we were able to pull together a packed live show at YouTube Space London.

“With the help of a hard working backstage team and the YouTube community we’ve been able to raise a fantastic amount of money to support Grenfell residents.”
