BACK TO SCHOOL WITH JO MALONE
Jo Malone London wanted to take Facebook fans on ‘A Thoroughly British School Trip’ by going live on Facebook for a three part masterclass, with a lesson in all things scented!
Fusing gifting, ingredients and fragrance combining their Head of Global Fragrance, Celine Roux took Facebook fans through while also answering their questions live.
Working alongside the in-house team, Creative Nerds activated a high quality live record with lighting, sliders and bespoke graphics.
Planning to use each of the three setups at their gorgeous townhouse, we split the broadcast into three key sections, giving users time to comment live and join in.
Gaining over 283,000 views, 665 comments and 5,900 reactions on Facebook the stream peaked interest on a busy Facebook timeline for fans, with the two-way conversation and engaging call to actions pushing users to get involved.
While the stream performed excellently on Facebook, we also dual-cast on Instagram Live – a first for the brand, and one of the first in the world to use a glossy broadcast with layered elements such as name straps and titles.
Bringing this high end, classy feel to Jo Malone London was of paramount to the client, as we set about finding new solutions to make this live stream work on Instagram.
Pushing live on the platform was a successful with thousands of viewers watching over the 24 hours the broadcast remained on the platform – and elevated their following ‘back to school’ day of content, which included other Instagram Stories videos and swipe-up activations.
Pushing broadcast-live with a glossy, high end feel across Instagram Live and Facebook Live that allowed the Jo Malone London brand to shine through made this project a success.
